Kelly Ripa Poverty – Ripa appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and recounted how his son, Michael Consuelos, lived alone in Brooklyn.
It seems that this 22-year-old man, who attended New York University, is struggling like any other young man, according to his mother.
“I think he loves freedom,” said Ripa. “He hates paying his own rent and he is chronically poor, I do not think he has ever experienced extreme poverty like now.”
The host said her son was looking forward to the annual Halloween $ 20 gift that his grandparents usually send.
“Now that he lives alone, he has called three times,” Ripa said of her son asking if the silver gift had arrived.
Ripa also joked that she and her husband, Mark Consuelos, could not get rid of their children.

The couple returned home after lunch a few years ago, after filing Michael at New York University to find him in the living room saying he thought he could stay over the weekend, she said.
His 18-year-old daughter, Lola, started at NYU this fall and apparently had a bit of homesickness, despite the fact that her parents probably would not have seen her for a while.
Ripa said she and her husband, who also have a 16-year-old son, Joaquin, enjoyed a getaway on Long Island after leaving Lola at school after being notified of their daughter’s return.
“Sunday night, our alarm alerts,” Ripa said. “My daughter is organizing a party on the roof of our house, she was gone 12 hours later and was coming home.”
