Disney plus India: Disney Plus launched in India, Bollywood celebs joined online
Disney plus India: Entertainment company Disney has launched Disney Plus in India. The company launched the service on Thursday with a virtual premiere of Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor along with many other Bollywood celebs. Disney Plus’s India launch was postponed due to Coronavirus. ( Disney plus India )

Streaming service Disney Plus was scheduled to be launched at the time of the IPL, along with Hotstar at the time of the first Indian Premier League, but the company made changes to the plan due to a 21-day lockdown. The company’s CEO Bob Iger said in February that it will launch in India on March 29 via Disney Plus Hotstar. ( Disney plus India )

Bollywood stars joined the event via live chat at the launch of the service. The conversation was promoted with the hashtag #StayHomeStaySafe to make people aware of social distancing. The event premiered ‘The Lion King’, ‘The Mandalorian’.

Entertainment company Disney has decided to cut the salary of high officials due to financial problems caused by Coronavirus. The company has reduced the salary of officers on the basis of a post. Executive chairman Bob Iger would not take a salary to get the company out of the crisis. CEO Bob Chapak will only get 50% of his salary.
